this is one of my favourite artworks, but i have a little criticpoint: space wolves are known for their festive, friendly and comradely character,so why are only the 2 in the back giving me this feeling? especially i wonder why the bloodwolf looks so grim?
They might. Have to remember that Astartes do have an organ that allows them to ingest just about anything, and learn from that which they eat. Eat its brain and learn where the orks main camp is, who the Warboss is and all that fun stuff.
Well no , they cannot and do not do that sort of thing in any of the novels that i have read , and i do think i read most of them . An Astarte might learn about the nature of an enemy by consuming a small part but no they can't get actual memories . A tyranid might do the sort of thing mentioned by you .
As for finding the orc camp , that is not all that difficult think to do considering the abilities of the marines and the general disinterest on the part of the orcs of camouflaging the camp .
Rindaris is correct. The organ is called (Omophagea), it's absorb genetic material generated in animal tissue such as a function of memory, experience or innate ability. A Marine can actually learn by eating. Incidentally, it is the presence of this organ which has created the various flesh and blood drinking rituals for which the Marines are famous, as well as giving the names to Chapters such as the Blood Drinkers, Flesh Tearers etc.
hmm i hear about consume genetical information as abilities etc....but consume memories?...its imposible...dead brain got no memories...when you let brain for long time without oxygen its begin to die and brain will pass thougt many phasses from soft amnesia thought lost knowledge to walk and memories and in end brain will be not able to control vital functions...problem with neuron is that they are organic...when they die, they are no more able to hold any information...there are some research about regenerating brain parts but even new neurons are empty...memories dies with neurons...
